Westminster has brought academic, spiritual, and social growth. While it started with professors and classmates on a screen, it grew to include a (in-person-during-COVID) Greek study group where friendships budded: one of which bloomed into a marriage! Westminster has helped me to consider how right doctrine, founded on proper interpretation of the Scriptures, is essential for ministry. While I have an interest in counseling, my husband, Tyler, and I are together (open-handedly) pursuing opportunities to serve the local and global church through theological education or church planting.

I loved my time at Westminster! The online Small Groups were what I least looked forward to in the online Program, but soon became my favourite part – interacting with students from around the world in different ministry contexts was a helpful and encouraging way to see God at work in a diverse but unified way. The theology and counselling courses gave me both a solid foundation and good practise at knowing God and others and applying Scripture to life. I’m currently serving as a biblical counsellor part-time as well as leading a new women’s ministry in my church.

I will be going on to a year-long internship at my home church in California. During my time at seminary, I met my wife, Noel, and we are now expecting a child. The relationships with my professors and classmates have made my time at Westminster a rich experience.

I will be moving to London to work as an assistant minister in the International Presbyterian Church. Learning Greek and Hebrew has been one of the best things about seminary – I loved it! I will be singing the “Hifil imperative drop-down menu” song into my old age.

My time at Westminster was the most character developing years of my life. The Lord has used Westminster in powerful ways to form who I am and has given me the foundation necessary to be a godly and humble servant pastor. I am truly grateful to the Lord for His love and care throughout my 4 years in using the professors, the staff, the curriculum, and my fellow students to challenge me, stretch me, grow me and teach me. I will forever be thankful for my time at WTS. In October 2022, I was called to pastor Welsh Road Church in Horsham, PA and lead them through church revitalization.

Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC)
I love Jesus more now than before this program. God has given me a deep confidence in the sufficiency of Scripture for everything we need for life’s challenges. He has given the clarity I needed to evaluate philosophies of the world that attempt to divert our attention from our only Savior. I work in a quiet ministry of helping alongside my husband in our local church and in a full-time ministry of support for global church planting. I don’t have specific post-graduation plans, but in submission to whatever opportunities God brings, I will as Elizabeth Elliot often said, “Do the next thing.”

During my time at Westminster, I have particularly enjoyed learning Hebrew, and hope to pursue further studies in that language eventually. Most of all, I value the friendships made with fellow students and professors here at Westminster, and I firmly believe that these friendships significantly contributed to my education in seminary and growth in the Faith. In the fall, I will be teaching third grade at St. Mark’s Classical Academy and will begin pursuing ordination in the Reformed Episcopal Church.

I began studies at Westminster in 2019. While there I got connected with Liberti Church Network. For three years I worked as a Church Planter Resident at Liberti Church Main Line. My time at Westminster gave me a love for Scripture and theology. It gave me the necessary skills to do a biblical exegesis and the apologetic courses allowed me to have the skills to talk about my faith with others. My time at Westminster affirmed my calling to full-time ministry. This past year I have been working for Young Life as Area Director of Tri-County; which covers Berks, Montgomery, and Chester Counties.
